the service kept stopping for backups and failed to restart. Updating Server 2003 seemed to resolve that issue. I stepped away from the issue for a few days and came back to it and tried to generate a report. It reported that it could not connect to the local WMI in order to generate a report. Going through the event logs, I see that

it is successfully restarting after backups but, it still has "trouble communicating" errors. Both servers are 2003 SP2. I don't know where to begin troubleshooting this? This is happening at another site as well but I want to go after this one first. What should be my next move? I thing this error is not that bad because after the backup the replication works fine, but this is spamming my event-logs and my SCOM always gives errors because of this.
