Started the installation and after answering the setup.exe questions, the .msi is called to start the installation and it just fails. Ran all of the Windows updates, reinstalled SP2, re-ran all event id updates to make sure there was nothing else and retried the BES install with the same results. RIM said the issue was the Windows Installer service. Started checking into that and after much troubleshooting, downloaded the MS MDAC Checker (.msi file as well) and tried that. Got the same result. Answered all of the initial questions, but when the install tried to start, it just fails. Several errors event id 11708 in the Event Log, but nothing helpful. They are listed below. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. The same five errors are logged no matter what .msi file tries to install.
