My application log on one of my Exchange 2013 servers has suddenly http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Windows+Operating+System&ProdVer=5.2&EvtID=3006&EvtSrc=EvntAgnt started filling up with about 2 dozen Event ID 3006 warning events every second. The event description is "Error reading log event record. Handle specified is 2675703992. Return code from ReadEventLog is 87." The source is EventAgnt, and the user is listed as N/A. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/3a3ee567-caa0-4740-aa32-9b238682b6d6/many-3006-warning-events?forum=exchangesvrgeneral to correct it? Updated DHCP configuration, as DHCP was not registering all IPs in DNS. This is working now, but the Application Event Log (on this DC only) is constantly recording the following error several times a minute: Log Name: Application Source: EvntAgnt Date: 4/1/2011 12:43:41 PM Event ID: 3006 Task Category: None Level: Warning Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: dc2.scdl.local Description: Error reading log event record. Handle specified is 31391912. Return code from ReadEventLog 87 Haven't found anything regarding handle 31391912 or return code 87. Similar errors suggest changing log to "Overwrite as needed" but logs is already configured this way. Rick Join this group 3Replies Best Answer 0 Mark this reply as the
