Unable to connect to UBMS on ????????????????. Freeze failed (11004 - The requested name is valid, but no data http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/11004-what-is-this-error.154888/ of the requested type was found.). Explanation: There can be a couple different causes for this error. 1. You will get this error if Port 1910 is in use by another program. If port 1910 is in event id use by another program you can add a registry key to reserve port 1910. - Open Regedit - Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters - Create or Modify Multi-String Value called ReservedPorts - Add value: 1910-1910 Please note you will be required to reboot the computer for the changes to take place. For further information please see: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;812873 2. If the Windows Firewall is enabled on the target computer without the required exceptions. UltraBac uses event id 2087 ports 1910 and 445. - If UltraBac is already present on the machine and a firewall is in place, ensure that exceptions are entered for both UBMS.exe and UB.exe, both incoming and outgoing. Please note that if you are running an x64 version of Windows you will need to target the executables in the x64 directory of the UltraBac folder. Thank you in advance guilijan, Nov 18, 2006 #1 NOD32 user Registered Member Joined: Jan 23, 2005 Posts: 1,766 Location: Australia So far as I am able to tell, this error means that a DNS request could not be resolved. Possibly your internet connection dropped out about that time. 11004 is a Winsock error - error codes here --> http://kb.globalscape.com/article.aspx?id=10140 Cheers NOD32 user, Nov 18, 2006 #2 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)
