Specify the time sources. To do this, follow these steps: a. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\W32Time\Parameters\NtpServer b. In the right pane, right-click NtpServer, and then click Modify. c. In Edit Value, type Peers in the Value data box, and then click OK. Note Peers is a placeholder for a space-delimited list of peers from which your computer obtains time stamps. Each DNS name that is listed must be unique. You must append ,0x1 to the end of each DNS name. If you do not append ,0x1 to the end of each DNS name, the changes will not take effect. Stop and start the W32time service from the cmd line by typing: net stop w32time && net start w32time 0 Mace OP Yasaf Burshan May 5, 2010 at 3:47 UTC Keep IT Simple Technology Group is an IT service provider. Source: W32Time Event ID: 29 Time Provider NtpClient: An error occurred during DNS lookup of the manually configured peer 'time.windows.com,0x1'. NtpClient will try the DNS lookup again in 15 minutes. The error was: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host. (0x80072751) Source: W32Time Event ID: 17 The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 14 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time. The only MS article I found on this was the one below but it is the wrong error code and it is for a server error. Poor Time Synchronization Has anyone ever experienced this before?
