ever i am trying to login to my server with my domain credentials it says(windows lsasrv 40960 automatically locked machine) windows can not connect to this domain or either the domain controller is down(which is not ) & i am getting this event id 40960 0xc0000234 error in event viewer The Security System detected an authentication error for the server LDAP/prod01.xyz.com/prod.xyz.com@PROD.XYZ.COM. vote Hi Team, I'm having below evt in my DC - win 2k8 R2. It looks like a network issue to me, please check AD related ports are https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/cf9ca750-d624-468a-8e0b-239fb561a0bd/event-source-is-lsasrc-and-event-id-is-x-40960?forum=winserverDS in listening state or not. Also check the replication between DCs, I'm sure there might be an issue. Use the Account Lockout tools (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=18465) to identify the source of the lockouts. Once you have found the machines, disconnect them from the network and monitor if account lockouts still occur.
