For no apparent reason whilst i am browsing the internet, on firefox, many of the applications 'stop working' and close. Including windows explorer, which is a bit frustrating. I just use the 'run' function in taskmanager to start explorer again and then everything goes back to how it was. Alps pointing device also stops and the scroll function doesn't work thereafter until the computer is restarted. I have just changed the theme to classic to save battery life. It seems to happen at least once every time i use the laptop and at no particular time or webpage. I have got the event viewer thingy showing which applications stopped and when, hope someone can help. Than

If in event viewer (type eventvwr in search) you go to windows logs>application tab and find errors that list app crash and have the event ID 1000 source 100, it is more than likely DEP. DEP or data execution prevention is located in system control panel>advanced settings>performance> DEP and is by default set to win apps only. You can exclude explorer from the list but only if you are sure it isnt a virus and have the event viewer ID listed above. http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/46657-wind... m 0 l Can't find your answer ?
