I've tried deleting their profile and http://superuser.com/questions/197040/office-2007-constantly-crashes-logged-as-event-id-1000 setting it up again, repairing office, uninstalling completely and then reinstalling, and swapping out memory sticks. Solved Outlook 2007 running under Windows 7 fails with exception code 0xc0000005 Posted on 2011-03-11 Outlook 1 Verified event id Solution 5 Comments 4,383 Views Last Modified: 2012-08-02 A couple of days ago Outlook 2007 runing in Windows 7 Professional SP1 began failing whenever it trys to open a separate window. For example, I can turn on the reading pane view and see an email. But when I try to open the email, reply to or create a new email I get the "searching for a event id 1000 solution" dialog and Outlook crashes. I have done the following: - Run detect and repair - Run scanpst and repair any problems - Create new Outlook profile - Uninstall Windows Live - Uninstall and reinstall Office 2007 - Apply all service packs (Windows 7 and Office) - Scan for Viruses (AVG) and Malware (Malwarebytes) - Search the registry at local machine and current user for non-Microsoft addins (none registered) Outlook runs in safe mode so it looks like some kind of addin issue. Any ideas? There are not many details about the error. Event viewer brings up the following log entry: Faulting application outlook.exe, version 12.0.6316.5000, stamp 4833a470, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.1433, stamp 471eb5ae, debug? 0, fault address 0x000149e9 The Error Produced from the Outlook 2007 Mso.dll Fault There seems to be many different versions of this problem all over the Internet. In this case, the customer had an Add-In installed called Able2Doc/Extrac Add-in that was causing a conflict. Disabling the conflicting add in fixed the issue. You can control which add ins are enabled and disabled by going to Tools, then Trust Center and the Add Ins section. From here you have full control over what add ins are running with Outlook 2007. R
