XD 7.5 & Server 2008r2 SP1 TermService crash Started by Chris Thompson , 30 July 2014 - 04:22 PM Login to Reply 3 replies to this topic Chris Thompson Members #1 Chris Thompson 41 posts Posted 30 July 2014 - 04:22 PM I'm not http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/354262-xd-75-server-2008r2-sp1-termservice-crash/ sure where to go with this. I have a fully patched Windows Server 2008r2 SP1 system, I installed the remote desktop service and let it run for a couple of weeks. No issues. I then added XD 7.5 VDA, and now every couple of days it just stops responding. It is not possible to login to the console and no published apps run. Currently the server is not in production, I am the only person trying to use it. I've looked and tried stuff suggested in this link: http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/336437-faulting-application-svchostexe-termservice/ Tried this fix: http://fargleblargen.net/2012/07/25/problems-with-rdp-connections-on-windows-server-2008-r2/ Installed -- Tried adding just Hot-Fix KB2800789 & 2465772 Removed KB2621440 & 2667402 - rdpcorekmts.dll was version 6.1.7601.17828 Last, added all MS patches, and installed xd710icatswx64004.msp. The only error I see is: Event ID: 1000 Faulting application name: svchost.exe_TermService, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc3c1 Faulting module name: termsrv.dll, version 6.1.7601.22213, ti

Published application gets stuck at "Welcome" Started by Satinder Pal Singh , 05 June 2011 - 01:32 PM Login to Reply 7 replies to this topic Satinder Pal Singh Members #1 Satinder Pal Singh 25 event id 1000 posts Posted 05 June 2011 - 01:32 PM Hi When I launch a published application from WI, it gets stuck at welcome after the pop-up screen of "Evaluation licenses". The server load reaches 5000 but after that it gets back to 0. I think there's some problem with ICA connection as I get an error when checking the network adapter of the ICA-tcp connection. Ingmar Citrix XenApp: Sessions disconnected right after connection Written by Ingmar Verheij on August 7th, 2013. Posted in Remote Desktop / Terminal Server, XenApp (Presentation Server) When new sessions are started, either via Microsoft RDP of Citrix ICA, they are disconnected within seconds. This applies to normal users and users with administrative privileges. This problem is caused by a chain of events. One components crash leads to an ungraceful shutdown of other components leaving a garbage configuration, preventing new connections. Symptoms Users connect to a Citrix XenApp server and are immediately disconnected. No sessions are visible on the server (no disconnected sessions either) and the same symptoms apply for sessions via Microsoft RDP. There are no events logged in the event log that indicate a potential problem. In some occasions the first RDP/ICA session is successful and subsequent sessions fail. Situation Consider the following scenario: Remote Desktop Session Host role (RDSH) is installed Require secure RPC communication is enabled for RDSH Set client connection encryption level is configured for RDSH There are active (or disconnected) sessions either via RDP or ICA Chain of events The following events occur causing a chain of events leading to the described symptoms. Group policy refresh Every 90 minutes group policies are automatically refreshed (or manually via gpupdate /force). When this happens the Remote Desktop service reloads to load the GPO changes. In the Application log we can see an event is raised by SceCli (Security Configuration Editor Client for Windows) with ID 1704 informing us that a new security policy is applied successfully. Remote Desktop services crash When the Remote Desktop service restarts it unloads and reloads the module winsta.dll (the module that handles the WinStations), but reloads it incorrectly. As a result the Remote Desktop services will crash. First an event is raised by Application Error with ID 1000 informing us that the application svchost.exe_Ter
