I'm getting application errors (Event ID 1030 and 1006, source Userenv) and it appears to only be for one user - ME! Event ID 1006 reads: Windows cannot bind https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/11/2008/02/19/troubleshooting-event-id-1006-userenv-error-on-client-workstation/ to *mydomain.com* domain. (Invalid Credentials). Group Policy processing aborted. Event ID 1030 reads: Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the event log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine that describes the reason for this. I looked up the ID's on EventID.net but found no real help there. Hoping the spiceworks community can help. I've spent entirely too much time on this, but it's bugging me. Or you are the only user logging into this machine? By the sound of it, you "cloned" or "ghosted" this machine and changed it's name but did not change the Security Identifier (SID) of the machine. Now it seems to be completely confusing the AD -Computers portion. If this is the case: - Remove the machine from the Domain. - Delete the %machinename% from the AD (if still there) - Run an Application called "NEWSID", which is downloadable from here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897418.aspx - Re-add to the domain. 0 Chipotle OP Jeremy5285 Sep 5, 2008 at 3:33 UTC Well I am the only one that logs into this machine. When I log in using a domain admin account there is no issue. I am logging on as a domain user. This workstation is less than 3 months old. Never been cloned. 0 Cayenne OP Jason5373 Sep 5, 2008 at 3:38 UTC Are you authenticating through an SBS? 0 Chipotle OP Jeremy5285 Sep 5, 2008 at 3:49 UTC S

I have asked the tech whos id shows up everytime but he doesn't know why they would get logged. He swears he's not running any scripts. Is there a way to find out if he's really running a script/batch of event id 1006 some sort. These events come up at different times through out the day.ThanksWL(The user name/server and domain has been changed from original in this posting for obvious reasons)Error 3/28/2007 1:47:25 AM Userenv\015None 1006 BWORNS$ NETCOMPRSV\015Windows cannot bind to NET.COM domain.
