The Open Procedure For Service Bits In Dll Server 2012
Upon system restart, the same error messages always appear in my Application Event the open procedure for service "wmiaprpl" in dll "c:\windows\system32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll" failed. Viewer. For Event ID 1008, there are seven instances. There is an error message for each of the following .dll's: unable to rebuild performance counter error 2 bitsperf.dll, dfsrperf.dll, esentprf.dll, secur32.dll, msdtcuiu.dll, pnrpperf.dll, and wmiaprpl.dll. For Event ID 1010, there is always a single instance. It is for an error message pertaining to emdmgmt.dll. Looking back through the event https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/8e2ee2a6-74df-4a8b-b9d0-aa5491b5fc4e/i-receive-microsoftwindowsperflib-event-id-1008-error-in-windows-2008-sp2-after-reboot?forum=winservergen viewer, it appears that this error activity began after I installed a number of MS Office updates yesterday evening. (One of the updates was for MS Silverlight.) As suggested in another thread, I have already uninstalled MS KB931174, and replaced wertargets.wtl. I have read other threads suggesting resetting or unloading the counters altogether. I thought I should check here before going to those measures. http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/138725-application-error-1008-1010-source-perflib.html I am also considering uninstalling the 11 updates that were applied yesterday afternoon for MS Office. Any suggestions about how to correct this recurring problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeff My System Specs You need to have JavaScript enabled so that you can use this ... Join Now On a Windows 2000 Server I have recently been seeing about two of these events per second in my Applications Event Log. Obviously, this makes it https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/83712-rediculous-amount-of-perflib-event-1008-errors-in-event-log rather difficult to track any other errors that might appear. The Event is: Source: Perflib Category: None Type: Error Event ID: 1008 User: N/A Description: The Open Procedure for service "ASP.NET_2.0.50727" in DLL "C|WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_perf.dll" failed. http://www.tenforums.com/general-support/35147-perflib-errors-1008-loadperf-errors-3009-a.html Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is data DWORD 0. Data: (Bytes) 0000: c7 04 07 80 (and a few ASCII characters) (Words) 0000: 800704c7 After researching several leads event id on TechNet, and other sites, I installed .NET 1.0 sp3, as this problem was supposedly resolved with the release of sp3. All this did was add a new version of the above event referencing "ASP.NET_1.0.3705.6060", which essentially doubled the number of these events I am receiving. Gee thanks Microsoft. Other things I read indicate that there may be some relationship with this error and NetBEUI not being installed on event id 1008 the NIC. NetBEUI is installed. However, one thing that recently changed on this server was the addition of a Gigabit NIC. This server hosts DC, DHCP, and Exhcange. I disabled the new NIC and set things back to the way they were, and the problem persisted. Next, I disabled the original NIC and assigned the static IP to the new NIC, installed NetBEUI, verified the selection to register in DNS, and verifyied the Metric is set to 1 for this device. This has made no difference regarding this Error. If any of you folks have fought this battle with any success I would very much appreciate being tossed a bone here. :-) This server will be replaced in 2010 and I really would like to keep it running until then if at all possible, what with it being a rather critical part of our network and all. I have a repeating error since Dec 9 which is below. I have tried to search for a solution but in most cases it only covers windows servers or shared point. I have ran sfc /scannow but it didn't detect any errors. The other solutions involved editing the registry or rebuilding the perf library. This is something I feel more comfortable doing with direct communication with tech support rather than using support from threads dating back years covering other OS such as Vista and even Win2k. I want to deal with one error at a time so will provide what information I can for the 1008 errors first. If you need information for the 3009 errors let me know. I have not seen any obvious system issues. However I just want to make sure either this is not a major issue or can be fixed. The BITS service itself starts and runs as far as I know. It is currently running. The BITS error has been record 4 times. The .NETFramework only once. I am not that computer savvy but am capable enough to follow instruction. Any help will be appreciated.
