I have two instances event id 2003 perflib sql on one server, one for production one for qa. The qa instance has this error in the Application Event Log: "The configuration information of the performance library "C:\WINDOWS\system32\perf-MSSQL$SQLSERVER-sqlctr10.50.1600.1.dll"
Event Id 2003 Server 2012
for the "MSSQL$SQLSERVER" service does not match the trusted performance library information stored in the registry. The functions in this library will not be treated as trusted." I have not seen any performance issues or anything, but I stumbled across this and I don't know how something wrong could have happened to one instance and not another. lodctr /t Thursday, May 17, 2012 4:10 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hello, Please see the following post: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/psssql/archive/2009/03/03/troubleshooting-sql-server-2005-2008-performance-counter-collection-problems.aspx Hope this helps. The functions in this library will not be treated as trusted. This began when I started monitoring these systems with OpenNMS. No changes were made to the servers themselves - OpenNMS is a self-contained application running on a separate host. All affected servers are running SNMP Informant. We were previously collecting data via Cacti with no errors, but OpenNMS queries many more OIDs out of the box than Cacti. Servers running SP1 are not affected. I have not
On an SBS 2008 machine I was noticing the following error every day around 3:30 am Event 2003, http://kevinjmorse.ca/articles/event-2003-perflib Perflib The configuration information of the performance library C:\Windows\system32\sqlctr90.dll for the MSSQL$SBSMONITORING service does not match the trusted performance library information stored in the registry. The functions in this library will not be treated as trusted. After much searching I came across a quite simple fix in the Technet library called Event ID 2003 event id — Performance Library Availability Open the Command Prompt as Administrator by right clicking and choosing Run as administrator. At the command prompt, type lodctr /T:MSSQL$SBSMONITORING to set the performance counter as trusted. Problem solved!
