Disable Terminal Services Printer Redirection
We have 3 printers connected (wired) to our server, running Windows Server 2003. All the drivers are up to date and I've isolated the issue to a networking issue. The problem

appeared out of nowhere starting with the users with spooling errors. On the server I go in start/stop spooler but this is only a temporary fix. It doesn't seem like any computers/laptops are connecting to the printers to print. Connecting to the printers via their IP on any browser works fine without any problems. I've disabled DHCP, kept AutoIP on, they termservdevices event id 1111 windows-server-2003 are all on static IP addresses on the network. When I go to delete and re-add the printers, it's not letting me even add them anymore. **One weird occurrence where the printing queue from the day before would print around 8:00AM the day after. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any additional information! EDIT: I have stopped spooler and cleared anything in the spool/PRINTERS folder in system32, started it again with no avail... You have to contact the "PDF Creator" development team for assistance.Thank you. Join Now Hi https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/331836-network-printer-error-error-printing All, We are experiencing issues with several Network printers failing "Error Printing" https://community.pharos.com/thread/1084 It seems to be randomly affecting 3-4 printers on our network. We have taken several steps to resolve this such as 1) Updating all drivers 2) Updating Server + Rebooting The only way to clear the printer up is to stop the print spooler service and delete the files event id from the windows32 spool folder. But that only temporary fixes the issue until a few hours later. We've had a printer engineer out and it's not the actual printers that are causing the problem Please could anyone help suggest a fix for this? Users are still able to print but the server is reporting an error which triggers windows 7 and windows vista to inform the user that the printer is in "error state" or that there was "an error printing." This information worries users and causes many calls to our help-desk. Programs built on Java are unable to print as long as the queue is reporting an error.Has anybody experienced this before and found a solution?Print system configuration:Server:Intel Xeon x5650 2.66 ghz (2 processors)RAM 8 GB64bit OSWindows Server 2008Pharos 8.1.5293.56Printers Managed:251 printers bring managed160 Kyocera6 Konica53 Canon26 HP6 othersQueue Structure brake down:4 held queues for 45 printers of same model for each queueexample:B&W queue (driver kyocers FS-9530) is associated with Kyocera FS-9530 printersB&W_finishing queue (driver Kyocera TA-420i) is associated with Kyocers TA-420i printersShared queues and device queues match in driver and printer model.234 direct queuesThe rest are not managed by phaorsSettings:64 bit and 32 bit drivers are of the same version numberSNMP status is disable on the portsBidirectional support is disabled (per advice of phaors support)Server Load:Memory Usage 3 GB of 8 GBCPU Usage 0-2%We have been unable to find any useful log files... they only tell us that there was an error but doesn't give a cause. This is something that is affected by the usage of the print server however the server is not having any difficulty handling the load... for example there are no errors during the summer when students are not on campus but when students arrive the printing doubles and then the server starts reporting errors on the queues, even queues the students don't use and queues that didn't go up in usage.Thank you for your advice.Josh 14163Views Tags: none (add) error_stateContent tagged with error_state, shared_queueContent tagged with shared_queue This content has been marked as final.
