Photoshop CS4 (Travis_Blade) Nov 3, 2008 5:31 AM Alright, so I recently got Photoshop CS4, for some odd reason when I https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1603-install-cs3-cs4.html had to do a system restore, it messed up. Not sure why, but I got the screen to accept or decline the user end license agreement, when I clicked to accept it, it just went away and nothing happened. So I uninstalled it, and tried reinstalling it, now every time I try, it gets right to the end, where it's installing Adobe Bridge CS4 and it comes up with an error saying https://forums.adobe.com/thread/373577 it had problems installing photoshop CS4 and then asks me if I want to continue with the installation, I click continue, and it finishes, but I get an error message at the end again. When I click more information I get this: Adobe Photoshop CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation. Adobe Photoshop CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation. Adobe Bridge CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation. ne Adobe Device Central CS4 Error: Error 1603. Fatal error during installation. I'm not sure why I'm getting this error, please tell me someone knows what the hell is going on here? Lol. Videos Tweet Problems with Installing Adobe CS4 Finally my company is planning to convert all our tools to the latest Adobe CS4 Master Collection 😀 Excited to get a feel of it, I uninstall my existing CS3 through the Control Panel and downloaded CS4 Trial Version. http://10steps.sg/articles/problems-with-installing-adobe-cs4/ However, things does not happen smoothly as I thought where I was unable to install any of the CS4 components. Luckily, was still able to get everything done right in the end and I'm here to share http://www.werockyourweb.com/forums/topic/aborting-installation-error-1603/ the processes. Hope it will help some who met the similar problem. Following are the safest processes to transit from Adobe CS3 to CS4:
- Backup all your Actions, Brushes and other files - Uninstall fatal error Adobe CS3 through the Control Panel - Download Adobe CS3 Clean Script here - Run Adobe CS3 Clean Script and follow the instructions - Now you can start to install your new Adobe CS4! However, if you did not apply that Adobe CS3 Clean Script before installing CS4, MOST LIKELY you will get the error message like the one I have got below: Installation Error Installation of the following components has fatal error during failed: Adobe Drive CS4 To continue installing the remaining options, click Continue. To cancel this installation, click Quit. Here is what you can do to clear the mess ( only for Windows Users ): - Backup all your Actions, Brushes and other files - Uninstall Adobe CS4 through the Control Panel - Download Adobe CS4 Clean Script here - Right click on CS4InstallerDatabaseUtility.exe and select Run As Adminstrator - Follow the instructions to clear the files - Download Adobe CS3 Clean Script here - Run Adobe CS3 Clean Script and follow the instructions - Now you can start to install your new Adobe CS4! I am not sure why I have to run two separate Clean Script for both CS3 and CS4 here. But this is the only set of processes I tried that works perfectly. Hope these notes will be useful for you some day. For further supports, you may post your issues at one of the Adobe Forums. What ended up working was simply right-clicking the installer and installing my program (Adobe Creative Suite CS4) into the recommended installation folder.Hope this helps someone else!April 3, 2011 at 4:12 am #13989 GuestParticipantWell I think it depends on the computer and its components.
