I set up the install with no MST file and it worked perfectly for the 30 users I did today. Solved Software installations via group policy "Fatal https://forums.adobe.com/thread/712918 error during installation" Posted on 2005-05-03 Installation Windows XP 1 Verified Solution 13 Comments 5,797 Views Last Modified: 2013-11-14 I'm trying to deploy Office 2003 via Group Policy, publishing it to the user. However I have come across an fatal error error message that is preventing the user OR administrators from being able to install. On trying to Add the program I get the error "Fatal Error During Installation" This doesn't give much away. But if i look in the event log I get the following messages. The assignment of application Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 from policy failed. The error was : Fatal error during installation. error code: 101 source: application management I've looked this up across the fatal error during WEB including event id that had a few similar bits but nothing that solved my problem. I've assigned permissions both user and computer to the shared directory and elevated permissions for installations are set via policy to allow users to install the program. however as stated I can't install logged in as myself either so it is not a permissions issue. Please could someone suggest a solution if they have had a similar problem as this is really hampering my project to roll Office out! 0 Question by:fairfranco Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution byCetusMOD PAQ'd, 500 points refunded. It is the MSI that comes with Office 2003 and runs fine if I run it manually. I was using an MST on the install as well but have stripped this out now to get rid of as many variables as possible that could be causing this problem. 0 LVL 16 Overall: Level 16 Windows XP 11 Installation 1 Message Expert Comment by:craylord2005-05-03 I would go to a station and run from the command line the office transform install with this appended to the end. /qb+

RevDrChris Sep 1, 2010 7:08 PM All of a sudden we are having systems that Flash is removing itself and I can't figure out why! Everything has been working just fine. We push Flash down through Group Policy and it's been working without problems. But all of a sudden we are seeing systems where Flash is removing itself for no apparent reason.Nothing has changed. No settings have changed. People that have gotten it successfully via GPO and have had it working just fine are all of a sudden having it removed and left with nothing installed. Does anyone have any idea as to why it would be doing this? Here are the log files from one of the system in succession...maybe someone here can make heads or tails of it???"Application Adobe Flash Player 10.1 Plugin from policy GPO Install Flash Player is an upgrade of application Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin from policy GPO Install Flash Player and will cause the assignment of application Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin to be removed.""The removal of the assignment of application Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin from policy GPO Install Flash Player succeeded.""The assignment of application Adobe Flash Player 10.1 ActiveX from policy GPO Install Flash Player succeeded."
