Remember to reboot. DirectX 9.0c Redistributable (October 2005) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Try the latest drivers from NV "81.85" if that don't help or your running them now try "78.01" as they are the ones the game was "tested on before shipping". Quote: http://allboards.lionhead.com/showpo...&postcount=104 The game has been tested on 78.01 before shipping, so this driver version is the more reliable for BW2. 78.01 http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_78.01.html User Technical Help http://allboards.lionhead.com/forumdisplay.php?f=54 http://allboards.lionhead.com/showthread.php?t=107038 Animatrix View Public Profile Find all posts by Animatrix (#3) Soveliss Registered User Videocard: Nvidia GeForce FX 5200/128 mb Processor: Pentium 4 Mainboard: Memory: 510MB RAM Soundcard: Creative SB live! series PSU: 11-11-2005, 08:43 | posts: 3 I tried what you said, but I still get the error, so I still can't play the game. decided to install this game on my Window 7. At first I launched BW2 Battle http://blog.cyvino.com/2012/07/black-and-white-2-cant-create-3d-device.html of Gods, everything seems to work fine. The game has a resolution for 1920 x 1080. This game somehow managed to max out my GTX 670 even though it was quite an old game. I then switched back to vanilla BW2, but then got an issue where it kicked me out to desktop and had a fatal error pop up "Cannot create 3D device" or something like that. I searched around the net for a little bit and found that I might need to delete the ini file. So I did delete the ini file and relaunched the game. This time it gave me a different error. I undo the deletion and ran the game 2 fatal error again. Somehow it worked! I'm amazed that the game this old can have a competitive graphic with so many games that got released this year.
