The Mac Drivers you burn with boot camp do not work on vista. You have to extract the drivers and load them indiviually. To my knowledge everything works except the isight. The airport card is downloaded from the windows update center. And the ati driver you can get from ati. Apple eject, and Brightness control is loaded from extracting the drivers, as is the sound. To extract the drivers simply to do this: Search Run on vista open run type in D:\Macintosh Drivers for Windows XP.exe /A /v that will extract them to where ever you declare it to. Open the extracted file, go into the folders and click setup to run the installation for the Drivers. I just got a new MacBok Pro 15" and I was trying to install BootCamp a few hours ago. I got everything ready: got my firmware updated, finished the parition part, and I was ready to restart the computer for further installation (that's the step prior to choosing C: ). As my Mac restarted, it would fatal error during run the Windows XP SP2 disc in my drive for a few minutes until it got to the screen where it said "Welcome to Windows Setup!" Then it asked me to press 'enter' to continue the installation. I did so but nothing happened. It just stayed on the screen. I pressed 'enter' again but there was no response. I even tried pressing the other keys (i.e. F3 for quitting) but none of the keys indicated worked. Does this happen to anybody ever? Does anyone know a solution for this? Thank you. - HC Reply With Quote 07-30-2006,10:29 PM #2 Arichards View Profile View Forum Posts Member Since Jul 14, 2005 Location Massachusetts, United States Posts 221 Specs:Macbook 1.83Ghz, 1GB Ram, 60GB HD. 19in. external display, bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
