Hello,So when you insert the memory card and power on the phone, at what point do you receive the error message and what EXACTLY does it say? If it's a fatal error, is it followed by a number etc? Ask Your Own Cell Phones Question Customer: replied6 years ago. it says cannot format due to fatal error. no numbers fatal error 100 follow it. It's a BB curve 8530 model and the memory card are san disk 8 gig cards both failed. Expert: Daniel P. replied6 years ago. Ok, does it say 'cannot format due to fatal error' or does it say 'Media card cannot be accessed due to a fatal error'? I know you already told me once. I just need to be 100% sure because the 2nd choice is much more common that the 1st choice and the potential solutions are different. Also, if you're getting the first error, are you getting that error while attempting to format the card or does it just pop up on the home screen? Ask Your Own Cell Phones Question Customer: replied6 years ago. it says after i try to format "media card format failed". Expert: Daniel P. replied6 years ago. Thank you. Please allow me a little time to investigate this issue. I'll have to go through some of my books. I won't be very long, I just want to make sure I provide you with an accurate answer. Will this be ok? Ask Your Own Cell Phones Question Customer: replied6 years ago. yes, I've spent 60.00 so far on 2 memory cards and really want the help so do what u have 2. thx! Expert: Daniel P.

Advertisement Can anyone please help?! I used this Media Card in my Storm 2, in the Curve 8900 before that, and now when I put it into my Bold 9700 it comes up with 'Media Card could not be accessed due to fatal errors'. I've tried to repair the media card, but it says 'Media Card repair failed'. I hoping I don't have to format it, as I have pictures on here that, ideally, I would like to not delete! I've looked at the card, there's no scratches, cracks etc. Help please?! Thanks in advance. 05-19-2010,11:28 AM #2 RogerG Stack Administrator Join Date Nov 2006 Posts 21,111 Lindsey, Do you have an adapter for the card that you can insert in your PC/laptop? Or if you connect your device to your PC/laptop in Mass Storage Mode, are you able to read what's on the card? If you can do one or the other of those, you can drag and drop the stuff off the card into a folder on your PC/laptop, reformat the card then reload it. 05-19-2010,11:37 AM #3 lindsey_lewin Stack level 3 Join Date Aug 2007 Posts 169 Hi, I tried to open it whilst it was in the blackberry yesterday, but it still wouldn't?! Enable Mass Storage Mode on the device when you connect and then you should see an additional drive on the PC called BlackBerry. Then you can navigate to all the files on the device and drag and drop them into
