Visual Studio C++ 2010 Jul 9, 2015 at 7:36pm UTC h4ever (508) I solved the problem. I had two rc files including icons. I have taken the smaller file's content and moved it to the second file. So I use only one rc file and now more errors like that appear :-D Great, simple, clear solution and big relief. Topic archived. No new replies allowed. C++ Informa

See more: C++ Visual-Studio MFC VS2010 I have been trying to find a solution for the following linker error, and have tried a few solutions which have not worked. This is the error: 1>CVTRES : fatal error CVT1100: duplicate resource. type:VERSION, name:VS_VERSION_INFO, language:0x0409 1>LINK : fatal error LNK1123: failure during conversion to COFF: file invalid or corrupt I realize that this is telling me I have a duplicate resource, but I can't seem to find the problem file with the version number. I have tried to enable progress on the linker, checked my incremental linking, and tried to search my .rc files.....are there any suggestions of where else to look to overcome this?
