error (or something similar) may be displayed during the installation process: Fatal error: Call to undefined function field_attach_load() in ~\modules\user\user.module on line 270 This error seems to be caused by a problem during the https://www.drupal.org/node/27119 Drupal system installation, causes installation to fail after only creating 31 database tables, and will make requests to the front page of the site display a 'Page not found' error.
