I also changed the settings.php file and ini_set('memory_limit', ...); and I tried changing the memory limit to 256, then 512, then 1024 - and the changes were reflected in the admin/reports/status page so I know that worked. I increased the memory limit to 512MB, and when I go to reports>status report, the php memory limit is listed as 512MB. However, the problem persists! The problem happens when I try to add an image to a photo gallery content type, only if the image is larger then 1024x1024 (which is the maximum image resolution that I have configured for that content type). I have about 12 drupal sites and the one that actually has a fair amount of traffic (500 page loads per day) is the only one that continues to get errors. Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 30146560) https://www.drupal.org/node/1561450 (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/nash/public_html/modules/taxonomy/taxonomy.module on line 1693 It is currently hosted with Rochen Shared account they claim their servers are configured for drupal but after getting this error they told me:The error represents that your that PHP process is attempting to use more memory allowed per process. You may need to consult with your developer to review the script installed on this domain in question to check whether any components/module is not misconfiguration. Thanks! https://www.drupal.org/node/1962530 So I asked what the memory allowed per process is and they sent me to read their acceptable use policy: Prohibited Resource Use Policy Users may not: Run any process that requires more than 128MB of memory space or uses more than 30 CPU seconds. This limitation does not apply to Managed Virtual Server (MVS) or Managed Server accounts. Consume more than an average of 2% of overall server resources over a 24 hour period. E.g. -- Consuming more than 30 minutes of CPU time would exceed 2% CPU usage over a 24 hour period. This limitation does not apply to Managed Virtual Server (MVS) or Managed Server accounts. Not really the answer I was looking for - can someone point me into the direction of what is causing the error? Do I need to change host? My server's limit is at its maximum allowed by my provider (32 MB). Those errors appears mostly when interacting with the modules page, but it's also appearing for any user who tries renewing his password, or editing nodes. Thus, would you have any advice on how to lower the memory usage? P.S.: I've noticed most of those errors include views and views plugins .inc files. But it also concerns .inc files from the core modules and system...
