it's taken weeks to track down and fix an event/calendar problem which appears to be all down to the version of PHP. issue Enabling the date module causes this error and screws up my website! Only fix I have found is to ftp into the server and delete the https://www.drupal.org/node/991898 date and calendar modules. However, as soon as I install and enable the calendar module I receive another simialr error message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function datetime() in /vol/home/pcsupport/public_html/modules/date/date_api.module I have tried creating cck content type with datetime as the type but it ALWAYS fails. Any suggestion? Addition: I found this post (http://drupal.org/node/781262) which states in the description that the datetime class is not included by default in PHP 5.1 installations, but is in 5.2. This is causing the problem. As a quick hack I copied the original function, so the website can function until a proper fix is done.
