Unanswered question This question has not been answered yet. enq: (fatal error): 0781-048 bad queue or device name Hello, I am trying to stop a queue and this is the error I get: Command: failed stdout: yes stderr: no Before command completion, mkque errno 35 the specified message type does not exist on a message queue additional instructions may appear below. enq: (FATAL ERROR): 0781-048 Bad queue or device name: educ-medreclabel-ps1:hp@1. enq: errno = 36: An identifier does not exist. I can see the queue and others say they have been printed to it. Do need to just delete the queue and add it back?

All looks normal. There is no variance between the queue's that give me the error message in the qconfig file and the other queue's. I did the lpstat -p command and it says the queue is ready. The ".d" thing is a syntax error. Correct format to indicate the destination queue is "-d ...." What's in /etc/qconfig?
