Installation will completeHopefully you will solve this issue by yourself, not like me, after a couple of days with help from my Cisco technical friends Apparently, the error cannot be reproduced on the same system but with no GPUs, or on ESXi 5.1. Cisco told me that they're working with VMware on this one and hopefully they will create a more fashionable way on getting the systems up and running with ease.Good luck!VictorAsked by Bill Shields (Cisco) to post it in the Cisco Communities. ESXi 6 on MSI X99 Raider gives Fatal Error 10 (Out of Resources) Having fun with new Home Lab. Tried installing ESXi 6.0 U1 and kept on failing.. On the mighty google there were notices that nvidia cards might be the issue so http://www.vdrone.nl/installing-esxi-6-on-msi-x99-raider-gives-fatal-error-10-out-of-resources/ first i hopped to the local shop and bought an ati card. Well that ati card also failes đŸ™‚ The error that pops up during loading the installer is: Fatal Error: 10 (Out of resources) After some oldskool trouble shooting https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/120009-vmware-esxi-running-out-of-resources i found out that during install, with VT-D enabled in bios this error pops up. Disabling VT-D during install and enabling after works fine. Probably ESXI wants to install drivers for the card but fails. The onboard sata and intel 219-v fatal error work out of the box. Happy Labbing time. I get same error on MSI X99A SLI PLUS, even after disabling VT-D. Please advise, did you enable or disable anything else in BIOS for install? Thanks. Reply ↓ LaurensvanDuijn Post author2016-02-08 at 14:36 Hi, I only disabled the VT-D and installed ESXi. Then after install re-enabled it. What you could do is install ESXi on USB stick via Workstation/fusion and try to boot that? Gr Laurens Reply ↓ Ares 2016-03-30 at 21:14 Hi, i have the same mobo (like Luke wilman) and get the same fatal error 10. i disabled VTD opcion and did not work. Any diferent advise? TECHNOLOGY IN THIS DISCUSSION Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now I have a weird problem with VMWare ESXI where it seems usually at 1 AM the servers run out of resources. At this very moment I am having problems with 1 server (Citrix Metaframe XP running on W2K) where it has RAM, the CPU is barely used, but people cannot connect and the server works really slow. It even takes forever to restart or I have to actually specify power off or reset. Another server had a similar issue, but I restart the database for the application. I can't find what is wrong with them. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated it Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: VMWare ESXI Version Released For Free Very Strange VMware ESXI Issue Basic VMWare ESXi Setup - Need Advice   16 Replies Serrano OP Eric Langley Nov 27, 2010 at 1:13 UTC networksystems.com is an IT service provider. So the CPU in ESXi is not taxed during this guest issue? If you reboot the guests without rebooting the host do they run normally? 0 Thai Pepper OP dehcbad25 Nov 27, 2010 at 1:20 UTC for a while. To give you an idea for the CPU at the moment it says Total Capacity 7911 4x 2.317 Ghz and it says CPU usage 4426 MHz As for the RAM the Capacity 12283.56 MB and used 10487.00MB. I could probably reduce the RAM usage from a couple of servers if that is the problem 0 Serrano OP Eric Langley Nov 27, 2010 at 1:28 UTC networksystems.com is an IT service provider. Hi, May I ask if there's any job scheduled for that time-frame? anything like backup or ...? And by the way, if you don't do anything for it, how long would it take to change to normal state again? 0 Thai Pepper OP dehcbad25 Nov 27, 2010 at 2:12 UTC I looked for a job but I could not find it. Also, since 2 servers seemed to be affected I thought maybe it is something in the ESXi, however I haven't done anything to it (no backup from the ESXI yet, I do a file copy at 10:30 PM, which finishes at 11PM.
