Votes: Rating: 0 Delete: 0 From: Mary on 04/03/2007 My Fatal Exception + blue screen only occurs during shut down. The first time this happened in 1999, with my Gateway MSWin98SE PC, Gateway told me this was a Microsoft error, wasn't a serious problem if only occasional, and gave me instructions (not available) on what to do. It still happens from time to time, but doesn't seem to harm anything. It only results in a Scandisk search for errors because my computer was not properly shut down the next time I open up. You might check with Gateway for further information. Votes: Rating: 0 Delete: 0 From: Guy on 12/09/2006 My Toshiba Satelite keeps getting the same fatal error, "Fatal exception OE in 0028:C004EB04 in VXD VCACHE(01)", regardless of what task I'm performing. A friend looked at the computer and told me it was a bad HDD so I upgraded to a 40G, with same problem. I removed my expandable memory (64mb) still no help. This is driving me crazy and the fact that I have zero computer skills really isn't helping. Any advice you can give will be great. Have you solved that out?!Thanx a lot in advance! Votes: Rating: 0 Delete: 0 From: Chris on 12/09/2002 Ok well I found out the reason for this error. It was definately Bad Ram. When I say bad damaged. The RAM was causing a catologue of Kernal 32 errors and OE Blue Screens.I replaced my Video Card and my 256 of RAM and had no more problems.I suggest you take it to a shop and try new RAM first test it.Then still no fix replace the Graphics card and see if it is faulty RA
