Join them; it only takes a minute: Sign up Cake PHP Fatal Error (256) up vote 2 down vote favorite 2 I have just created an application using cake bake and when I run it I get the screen that says 'Sweet, myApp got baked' but there are no styling on it and at the bottom I get the following error: Fatal Error (256): ConnectionManager::getDataSource - Non-existent data source default [CORE\cake\libs\model\connection_manager.php, line 102] I've configure my database and user etc. But I don't understood what's going on. Check if all tables in the DB are there. My problem was missing table after db import . The times vary but it seems to be after midnight when it happens. My network scans are set to start at midnight and again 12 hours later. I do have virus protection on the Spiceworks server (Sunbelt Vipre). The application event log entry is below. The fatal error rendering triggers another fatal error until memory is exhausted. I rolled back to 2.5.8 and this issue disappeared.
