A common cause for this is if the application is running in READ UNCOMMITTED isolation level. This connection will be terminated. I have the sem5 db on this server and when the Symantec Endpoint Manager server is rebooted and tries to run live update this occurs. Any suggestions on why it might be occuring and a fix, if any? I think Symantec Endpoint Manager is causing a bottlenck on your disk when trying to run a live update. You can use Perfmon to monitor symantec processes on youOS and check if is just trying to scan your disk or performing a database backup. I don't think is a good option using an Antivirus on your sql server box. Please post your SQL Server version, Service Pack and some basic hardware settings. Antivirus is not on the actual sql server box the sem5 sql database is on one server and symantec is on another server. The sem5 database is the backend db for the symantec application. SQL Server is 2008 on windows 2008 r2. Thank You! Thursday, June 17, 2010 5:01 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vot
all of a sudden today gives the following error: Error during Web Application Server session initialization, please try again later. Fatal error occurred during child process initialization: Ini file error Cannot write to the INI file http://support.dataaccess.com/Forums/archive/index.php?t-4267.html VDF Error#: 4409 in line: 4794. Please check the Windows event log for further information about http://fatal.error.4409.pcfastlearner.com/ the problem. The Event Log shows exactly the same error. According to the customer, nothing has changed on their server. I've checked Permissions on both the Workspace and Visual Dataflex directorys, and the Web App Service has full control over both of those areas. Nor are any of the files in those paths set as read only. I've tried restarting and fatal error recreating the web application, both to no avail. Anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this, because I'm stumped. Even some kind of clue as to what INI file it can't write too would be useful.
