you CAN increase the amount of memory available to PHP. To change the memory limit for one specific script, include a line such as this at the top of the script: ini_set("memory_limit","20M"); The 12M (for example) sets the limit to 20 Megs. If this does not work, keep increasing the memory limit until your script fits or your server squeals for mercy. You can also make this a permanent change for all PHP scripts running on the server by adding a line such as this to the server’s php.ini file: memory_limit = 20M Hope this helps share|improve this answer answered Feb 19 '13 at 12:06 Owen Cutajar 111 1 I have give maximum limit ini_set("memory_limit","-1"); but still getting the same error. –ashu Feb 19 '13 at 12:18 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Drupal 6 core requires PHP's memory_limit to be at least 16MB, and Drupal 7 core requires 40MB. Warning messages will be shown if the PHP configuration does not meet these requirements. However, while these values may be sufficient for a default Drupal installation, a production site with a number of https://www.drupal.org/node/891930 commonly used modules enabled (CCK, Views etc.) could require 64 MB or more. Some installations may require much more, especially with media-rich implementations. If you are using a hosting service it is important to verify that your host can provide sufficient memory for the set of modules you are deploying or may deploy in the future. (See the Increase PHP memory limit page in the Troubleshooting FAQ for additional information on modifying the PHP memory limit.) "At least." An out-of-memory message means you're out of memory. memory size of *** bytes exhausted…« ? »Fatal error: Allowed memory size of *** bytes exhausted…« ?

I have my PHP memory limit set to 128 MB, which is the default for PHP 5. 16 MB sounds really puny. The way to see whether you have added something to the software soup that's causing problems is to create a clean test site with Joomla 1.5.22 (and nothing else) and then install Kunena and use your test site to see if you can reproduce the symptoms that you now have. If you continue to experience those problems (without adding other Joomla extensions) then you should compare your site with the K 1.6 Technical Requirements document. That article is essent
