I have a clean and new WP 4.5.3 installation in a VM of one of my customers. No other plugins or themes, just plain ol wordpress… When I activate BB 2.6.1 I run directly in a 500 and the logs show me PHP Fatal error: Class 'BP_Members_Component' not found in /var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-members/bp-members-loader.php on line 23 Viewing 7 replies - 1 through 7 (of 7 total) Slava AbakumovModerator @slaffik 3 months, 2 weeks ago Yes, this is a known issue, likely introduced in BuddyPress 2.6.1. Once you have access to your admin, upload latest BuddyPress 2.6.1.1. Before to activate it, go back to FTP and delete xxxx_buddypress. Now you can activate BP and normally, anything should work. weeks ago Hello - I have the latest WordPress version installed along with the latest Woffice theme update. However when I update buddypress to the latest version 2.6.0 the whole site breaks and this error appears: Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_get_current_group_id() in /home/.../public_html/.../wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-groups/classes/class-bp-group-extension.php on line 484 Any thoughts? I'am able to get the site working again, when I restore to a saved backup… Thanks Viewing 18 replies - 1 through 18 (of 18 total) Slava AbakumovModerator @slaffik 3 months, 3 weeks ago https://buddypress.org/support/topic/php-fatal-error-on-activation/ Is this error appearing on all pages of a site (on front-end) or only in admin area where you are upgrading? Woffice is a premium theme from themeforest, so we can't test that. The issue might be in the way hooks are used in a theme, so you might want to contact them. syborgParticipant @syborg 3 months, 3 https://buddypress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-on-a-buddypress-2-6-0-upgrade/ weeks ago Hello, I had exactly the same problem, with the theme "KLEO" (seventhqueen). If it can helps someone, the problem was caused by the plugin "Buddypress Cover Photo". I fixed it by changing the first line in the file /plugins/buddypress-cover-photo/group-cover.php : if ( class_exists( 'BP_Group_Extension' ) ) : by if ( class_exists( 'BP_Group_Extension' ) && bp_is_active('groups') ) : (It's my first post on this forum, so I wanted to say that Buddypress is a great plugin, good work guys !) Slava AbakumovModerator @slaffik 3 months, 3 weeks ago Thanks for sharing, @syborg! @jason75, Could you please test the solution above with your theme? Also, @jason75 and @syborg - as you are owners of that Kleo theme, could you please contact Kleo authors with this thread information? They should test their theme with the latest BuddyPress 2.6. r-a-yModerator @r-a-y 3 months, 3 weeks ago Hmm, it looks like class autoloading is causing this trouble. I'll try to duplicate this locally. syborgParticipant @syborg 3 months, 3 weeks ago I posted a topic on

No error. To clarify When i saw your notice my original post On a multisite local install – have added a site (sub-domain) successfully. This set-up was a pre existing testing installation. i can successfully add a new subdomain. Am unable to replicate the error you are experiencing. My second post confirmed that i was doing this on an old testing site with an existing bp setup with groups - but this again was in relation to creating a new site (sub-domain) in the set-up - no error. I'd imagine the devs would have given this a once over when they first saw your post ? cos its important! Cheers. sharmavishalParticipant @sharmavishal 4 months ago Thanks maybe some plugin is creating that conflict…let me check and will update this thread harrytsangParticipant @harrytsang 4 months ago I can confirm what sharmavishal said have also happened on my multisite setup… valuserParticipant @valuser 4 months ago see BuddyPress 2.6.0 Release Candidate1… perhaps best, if not already, to leave a ticket at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/newticket hope you get it sorted. r-a-yModerator @r-a-y 4 months ago @sharmavisha
