Unanswered question This question has not been answered yet. Hi all, while compiling the project from the Clearcase view directory from my Win 2000 pc, I got the following error: fatal error C1001: INTERNAL COMPILER ERROR (compiler file 'msc1.cpp', line 1786) Please choose the Technical Support command on the Visual C++ Help menu, or open the Technical Support help file for more information. We have unix Clear case server and win clients. I tried many options which i searched in MSDN and in google to resolve this error for MSVC6.0 but of no use. Here is the story: 1. When i copy the project to my local disk and compile it. It works fine. 2. In the CC View directory if i remove all the contents from the .c file and compile it the error still persists. From the above two tests i concluded that the error is due to some misconfiguration in clearcase View/VOB mounted on my PC. That is why i am posting this message here. I spent lot of time to dig the error in MSVC++. Please any body there help or give some link. This is the accepted answer. First try the same operation on a different computer with the same view to determine where the problem is. If it's CC related, first try deletig the .ncp and .opt files and recompiling, also try creating a new view. If it's VC++, check the path variables both in windows and in the Visual itself.
