Note that there may be too of them (local and global, or I don't remember how windows names them). –Shahbaz Dec 11 '12 at 9:42 2 Have you tried rebuild or clean/build...? –neagoegab Dec 11 '12 at 9:43 Were you building the entire project, or compiling a particular source file? This error usually occurs when the project is set up to use precompiled headers (PCHs), but the one source file creating PCHs wasn't compiled yet (or setting it up to create PCHs was omitted). –Angew Dec 11 '12 at 9:51 My TMP environment is %SystemRoot%\TEMP. "Fatal error C1083: Cannot open compiler intermediate file: 'C:\temp\a09912sy': Permission denied".Some times this error was coming sometime not. I have tried to change the "TMP" and "TEMP" environment variable as mentioned in the various forms. Later I found that this problem caused by a too aggressive antivirus software. The problem here is while compiling the VC++ project, it is creating some temporary files in C:\temp(TMP environment variable) directory and those files are getting delected my VC++ once compilation done. Mcafee "On Acess virus scanning" scans all temp files under that C:\temp directory. So I have changed the properties of "On Access Virus Scanning" in Mcafee and then after I didn't get that error. So I want to know why this dependancy is there. Why this error is coming some times only not always. Thanks,Vijay I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 2225Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 8 replies 1. Was this what you were talking about. If so that option is not on the home version so I assume you have an enterprise version maybe. If so I will move the post to the correct forum. If I am incorrect can you explain what you did to get it to work? Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2.
