This error usually indicates that mspdbsrv.exe or mspdbcore.dll are missing or have different http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10663979/visual-studio-2010-fatal-error-c1902-about-program-database-manager versions from mspdb80.dll. Ensure matching versions of mspdbsrv.exe, mspdbcore.dll, and mspdb80.dll are installed on your system. and I want to know what is "program database manager"? And what's the relationship with "mspdbsrv.exe, mspdbcore.dll, and mspdb80.dll"? c++ visual-studio-2010 share|improve this question edited Oct 24 '14 at 9:11 asked May 19 '12 at 9:28 chain ro 310313 1 .pdb is the program database. That is the debug file that is used to debug your app. –David Heffernan May 19 '12 at 9:32 So when debugging, mspdbsrv is to dynamicly load mspdbcore and mspdb80? –chain ro May 19 '12 at 9:54 If it is your own program, the first attempt would be to delete the .pdb file and let the manager rebuild it. Happens automatically if it is missing. –Bo Persson May 19 '12 at 9:56 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 8 down vote accepted fatal error C1902: Program database manager mismatch; please check your installation If you have kept mspdb100.dll in D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin folder means this problem will be there. Remove it from the bin folder it
in Visual http://lekka.cba.pl/c++/cpp_error_mismatch_c1902_eng.htm Studio 2010, and you see error message: fatal error C1902: Program database manager mismatch; please check your installation First http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/vs2010-fatal-error-c1902.823040/ you repair installation of program VS 2010, it may take some time. Not always, this will help. This fatal error problem occurs when do not exist different version librarys or program (more information: Fatal Error C1902): mspdb100.dll mspdbcore.dll mspdbsrv.exe Check if there are libraries and program. Determine the version of files (menu context|details), next find the most up-to-date fatal error c1902 file versions and copy them to a temporary folder. Before doing operation copying to destination folder, I've done two things, whose may affect the final result. I uninstall all pacage Redistributable Visual Studio and delete all librarys mspdb80.dll. Now you can copy files to: ...\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\ ...\VS2010\VC\bin\ Back up existing files in the destination folder. After you complete these steps, you should be able to compilation code of programs correctly in release i debug. Now some interesting infromation. If do not exist mspdb100.dll in folder ...\VS2010\VC\bin\ you see message: "CL.exe" exited with code -1073741515. Well, from what I've read, it means that a program database file (.pdd) was created using a newer version of mspdbXX.dll than the one made by the compiler on your system. The error also means that mspdbsrv.exe or mspdbcore.dll are missing, or have different versions of mspdbXX.dll. So you have to make sure that all these files are matching. I have no idea if that helps. Tell you what though. If worse comes to worse, download VS2012 and I'll hook you up with a serial.
