That change, if done in the right ini file is enough. –Alin Purcaru Mar 24 '11 at 11:22 Run a phpinfo(); in a separate page and tell us if you can locate a "curl" paragraph. If you don't find it, you have a php configuration issue. –Rodolphe Mar 24 '11 at 11:24 I have run phpinfo(); but not able to find out –Chauhan Mar 24 '11 at 11:26 add a comment| 9 Answers 9 active oldest votes up vote 8 down vote If you are using XAMPP, check these two locations: C:\xampp\xampplite\apache\bin\php.ini C:\xampp\xampplite\php\php.ini For the line ;extension=php_curl.dll. Remove the semicolon, save both files, restart your Apache and then run it again. I hope it will work. share|improve this answer edited Feb 17 '12 at 18:59 tomlogic 7,06121650 answered Feb 17 '12 at 10:50 Shakir 8912 add a comment| up vote 4 down vote In Xampp i've found php.ini at this location: C:\xampp\php\php.ini I've removed ";" from ";extension=php_curl.dll" line. It works fine. share|improve this answer edited Mar 29 '12 at 17:48 arrowd 1

By far I've tried several http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24322698/call-to-undefined-function-curl-init-in-php-5-2-6-xampp-1-6-8-windows-server solutions such as : Removing the comment ";" in php.ini before the extension=php_curl.dll and then restart the server Go to http://www.anindya.com/php-5-4-3-and-php-5-3-13-x64-64-bit-for-windows/ and download the fixed curl extensions there and replace the php_curl.dll in xampp/php/ext with the downloaded dlls (each one of them one by one) and then restart the server Change the extension=php_curl.dll to extension="C:\Xampp\php\ext\php_curl.dll" and then restart the server All the solutions just didn't work for my case. I think the server runs the older version of XAMPP and PHP (XaMPP 1.6.8 with PHP 5.2.6), is it the source of my problem? I definitely desperate for some help, for I already tried all the solutions provided in the similar questions in stackoverflow (trust me, there's a lot of em) and still I couldn't get the answer to my problem. So please dont rush yourself from labeling this post as a duplicate, cause I tried just almost all of em. Your help will be much appreciated, thank you. php apache curl xampp share|improve this question asked Jun 20 '14 at 8:05 caesardo 7311 Are you sure that you change the correct php.ini file?
Curl on Xampp Posted on April 15th, 2009 by Jake I generally do my development work on a local windows machine with the latest version of Xampp installed. I was recently toying around with the tayst twitter feed, and was having trouble using curl with xampp. The problem?.. curl was not enabled http://grapethinking.com/enable-curl-on-xampp by default in Xampp. You receive the following error: Fatal error: Call to https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/157819-solved-problem-with-curl-init-fatal-error/ undefined function curl_init() in C:\xampp\htdocs\tayst\twitter\index.php on line 4 The solution? These simple steps! Step 1. Stop all Xampp services: Apache, Mysql, Filezilla, and Mercury. Step 2. Open the following files in your editor of choice. (Replace C:\xampp with the location of your xampp install) C:\xampp\apache\bin\php.ini C:\xampp\php\php.ini C:\xampp\php\php5.ini C:\xampp\php\php4\php.ini C:\xampp\php\php4\php4.ini Step 3. Find the fatal error following code in each of the files, and remove the ; (semicolon) at the beginning of the line. You will most likely see it at line 546 or line 582. old line - ;extension=php_curl.dll new line - extension=php_curl.dll Step 4. Start your apache services. See what an easy fix to curl on xampp by simply removing a few semicolons. Happy Coding!
