Loading this page: http://www.atcv.net/bbpress/ Gets me this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/philipsh/public_html/bbpress/bb-config.php on line 22 Line 22 is around fatal error call to undefined function wp_get_current_user the database password. Maybe the previous line is not quoted properly or is missing the semi-colon. My guess is that you have an error in that file and if you fix that, things will probably be OK. If you have a text editor with syntax highlighting, it will be easy to find the PHP syntax error that is causing this. psheldMember @psheld 7 years, 7 months ago Opened a copy of bb-config.php in dreamweaver for its syntax highlighting capability as you suggested Chris, thanks. All the comments stuff preceded by // is in orange font until this line, number 18… define('BB_SECRET_KEY', 'i have changed this here so my secret key isn't made public'); // Change this to a unique phrase. The comment in this line of code and all subsequent lines are in red font. But the format of the definition looks good to me. How about you? My actual secret key, as generated by the WP API, has semi-colons FYI. psheldMember @psheld 7 years, 7 months ago Should have added that line 22 is… $bb_table_prefix = 'bb_';

there seems to be something wrong with your theme. try logging into the site and changing the theme. try googling this error. --josue comment:2 Changed 3 years ago by https://id.mayfirst.org/ross Keywords wordpress fatal-error added Hi Tomas, I think josue is correct, the theme does seem to https://support.mayfirst.org/ticket/7687 be causing the error. What's a little less clear is why. It's possible (though unlikely) that wordpress removed the function get_option_tree() from the code base. A more likely cause is that some wordpress files did not get uploaded properly when you did the upgrade. Let me poke around a bit and I'll get back to you, ~/ross comment:3 Changed 3 years ago by https://id.mayfirst.org/ross Hi Tomas, Okay some research suggests that the function get_option_tree may have been removed. See changelog 2.0 for this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/option-tree/changelog/ . I suspect to get the site functioning, you will either need to replace instances of get_option_tree() with ot_get_option(). Though I suspect it might not be a seamless transition. I suspect josue's suggestion to login as an admin and change the theme is a good starting point as you try to sort the broken theme out. ~/ross comment:4 Changed 3 years ago by https://id.mayfirst.org/dskallman Owner set to https://id.mayfirst.org/dskallman Status changed from new to assigned comment:5 Changed 3 years ago by https://id.mayfirst.org/josue Resolution set to fixed Status changed from assigned to closed hey folks, i diagnosed the issue as a plugin that was deactivated. got around to installing WordPress; all seemed fine until I deployed to my live server and tried to log into the Admin panel. After doing so, I hit the https://solutionfactor.net/blog/2010/10/21/wordpress-call-to-undefined-function-get_option/ following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in …/wp-admin/admin.php on line https://2slick.com/web/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-get_option_tree/affordablewebsitestips/tutorials xyz. After doing some research, it seems like a lot of folks have hit this problem. Googling the error surfaced 2 common fixes: deleting trailing spaces from the wp-config.php and functions.php files re-uploading the entire Word Press installation (seems as if Word Press files have a way of becoming corrupt fatal error during their upload, which sounds odd) Neither of those worked for me, but after suspecting the issue had something to do with php 5.3 and calls to include_once, my Google-fu uncovered this post: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-301-apc-314-php-533-white-wp-adnmin-page So, it turns out that my issue was due to having php 5.3 and a specific version of APC installed. After setting this APC directive in my apc.ini: apc.include_once_override fatal error call = 0 … all is well again!
