This core function exists and works perfectly, but when the theme 'Rebuild Registry on Every Page Load' setting is *DISABLED* http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/84611/how-to-override-core-is-ssl-function I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function user_profile_form_submit() in /sites/all/modules/prlp/prlp.module on line 134 Context: I am using the Password Reset Landing Page module (https://www.drupal.org/project/prlp). I wanted to customize fatal error the reset form, so in my template.php file I have various "_alter" overrides intercepting users logging in or users accessing the user/reset page for the first time. I added the following to my template.php as well in order to have the PRLP module "work" with my customized user-reset template (page--mytheme-user-pass-reset.tpl): /** * Alters the user password reset landing page. * * fatal error call Lets the user enter a new password directly on the landing page * and adds a submit handler to save it. */ function prlp_form_mytheme_user_pass_reset_alter(&$form, &$form_state) { // Shows password set fields directly on first time login page -- needed to capture core override function above (user_pass_reset()) // Capture and pass-through to original module function :) // TODO: Check if prlp module exists first? prlp_form_user_pass_reset_alter($form, $form_state); } I believe this was done because we are also overriding the core user_pass_reset() function in our theme's template.php, in order to customize various aspects of the user experience: // Copy of core function user_pass_reset() from /modules/user/user.pages.inc // !! MUST BE UPDATED TO MATCH CORE after any core update // !! Any modules that hook/alter the core user_pass_reset() function must also be cloned and customized to work function mytheme_user_pass_reset($form, &$form_state, $uid, $timestamp, $hashed_pass, $action = NULL) { /* original core code with some modifications */ } Now this all worked perfectly until we disabled our themes registry rebuild setting (unchecked 'Rebuild theme registry on every page' setting for our theme). If I un-check that theme o

Specifically, is_ssl(), which does not have any filter or action hooks. Obviously, the easy why would be to update functions.php itself, but this will leave issues with upgrade and compatibility. How could this be done. Edit: The goal is to overwrite is_ssl() function to return true when specific flag is set in the request header. Is it possible with the override-function? functions share|improve this question edited Feb 5 '13 at 18:05 Chip Bennett 41.1k553118 asked Feb 5 '13 at 15:45 ltfishie 2051417 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote If you look at the source of the is_ssl() function you'll see it checks various $_SERVER variables. Therefore, you could try adding this to a plugin: if ( isset( $_SERVER['HTTP_MY_CUSTOM_HEADER'] ) ) $_SERVER['HTTPS'] = 'on'; You'd need to call that code as early as possible, ie. directly in the plugin body rather than on a hook. share|improve this answer answered Feb 5 '13 at 18:36 John Blackbourn 58337 Thanks, good suggest.
