Take a look here and see if that is your problem. For a quick fix: FTP into your site and either delete the plugin folder (like @Howdy_McGee suggested) or simply rename it. –kaiser♦ Oct 13 '14 at 16:17 Looks like set_url_scheme started with WP3.5, so I'm guessing that it's an old WP install. –MetalAdam Oct 13 '14 at 16:59 Thanks for this info. I've managed to manually remove the plugin. You were right. It was an old WP install. –Shelley Oct 13 '14 at 22:14 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer? [Resolved] Error after installing plugin bsniekers @bsniekers 5 months ago I get the following error https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-after-installing-plugin-5/ when accessing any page in my WordPress installation, after http://lists.automattic.com/pipermail/wp-trac/2012-September/153748.html installing your plugin: Fatal error: Call to undefined function set_url_scheme() in /home/furball/domains/furball.nl/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/facebook-conversion-pixel/includes/cmb2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php on line 176 There is no way or me to go back to my control panel to deactivate your plugin, because any wp-admin/* fatal error page throws this error. Please HELP! https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-conversion-pixel/ Viewing 1 replies (of 1 total) Justin Sternberg @jtsternberg 5 months ago To the plugin author, you ought to bump your plugin minimum required WP version to at least 3.8 to match CMB2's minimum. bsniekers, if you fatal error call have ftp access, you can go rename this plugin in the plugin's directory, and it will deactivate automatically. Also, set_url_scheme() has been available in WordPress since 3.4. Do you have a version older than that? If so, I imagine this isn't the first or last time you'll have errors from plugins like this. Just checked out revision 21768, config'd, and went to the home page expecting to be automatically redirected to the wp-admin/install.php but was presented with `Fatal error: Call to undefined function set_url_scheme() in /path/to/trunk/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2987` If I bypass and go directly to wp-admin/install.php, setup the site details, and return to the homepage, no error. -- Ticket URL:
