post I will show how to use wp_handle_upload(). php code: false); $file=wp_handle_upload($_FILES['rt_file'], $overrides); ?> wp_handle_upload() accepts two parameters. $_FILES[‘rt_file'] is single element of $_FILES and the second parameter is array to override default file upload options. Parameter $overrides is optional but always set $overrides with value

test_form=false else it will return form submission error. On success wp_handle_upload() returns an associative array of file attributes. The returned array has the absolute path of an uploaded file, URL of an uploaded file & type of uploaded file. On failure wp_handle_upload() returns array which has error message. We can use our own error handling function by passing function name in $overrides[‘upload_error_handler'] as shown below: $overrides = array( 'test_form' => false,'upload_error_handler' =>rt_handle_upload_error ); ‘rt_handle_upload_error' is our defined function to handle upload error. There is no need to override default wp_handle_upload options except test_form. You can add more mime types for upload using upload_mimes filter. You will find wp_handle_upload() in wp-admin/includes/file.php. Hope it helps handling uploading files in WordPress. 🙂 Feel free to share your views or queries through your comments. The wp_raise_memory_limit function is defined in WordPress's /wp-includes/functions.php file; so try manually uploading that file again to the server, to see if that resolves the error. mleder @mleder 1 month, 3 weeks ago I wish it were so, checked the functions.php file in 4.6 package, does have the php routine as https://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-wp_raise_memory_limit/ the last item on that page. Uploaded the functions.php to the wp-admin folder (overwriting the existing one, which had the same date and time stamp). Restarted nginx. Same error. alwinsol @alwinsol 1 month, 3 weeks ago I had the same problem Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_raise_memory_limit() in /var/sites/d/devcodeadventures.com/public_html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 141 I'm not sure how to FTP to my site. safemachine1 @safemachine1 1 month, 2 weeks ago I have the same problem, I updated WordPress to the latest version, and now whenever I try to access anything I get the message. I don't understand half of the original post (sorry), can anyone explain what to do in simple terms. Thanks in advance… mleder @mleder 1 month, 1 week ago For me, I found that immediately BEFORE you initiate an update (either manually via FTP) or by clicking the update link in the admin area, that any caching that runs on the site needs to be flushed out. Once I started this procedure on other sites that needed to be updated (on the same server), I no longer had problems. alibasheer @alibasheer 1 month, 1 week ago I faced the same issue, and I solved it this way: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/238043/admin-blank-page-with-working-front-end-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-6 Luke Cavanagh @lu

All General WordPress Plugins & Themes Multisite Features & Feedback Comments 2 Vinod Dalvi WP Unicorn 1,499 pts 17,482 pts LEVEL 29 Hi Leonard, Sorry to hear of the problem you are having. The function wp_get_current_user which is causing this issue is a default WordPress function so it is always defined in the WordPress and should not cause the undefined function error but it should only be used in the init or any subsequent action to call this function. Calling it outside of an action can lead to troubles. See #14024 for details. May be the plugin that you were updating is calling it incorrectly in its updated version. To recover from this issue disable the plugin that is causing this issue by renaming the plugin directory in the folder wp-content/plugins using FTP or any other File manager and use the older version of that plugin notifying the plugin author about the issue. Best Regards, Vinod Dalvi Leonard Site Builder, Child of Zeus 56 pts 117 pts LEVEL 4 Already done and issue is corrected thanks anyway.
