U1077" NMAKE; U1077; Rhapsody; cmd.exe; RATLC01537357 Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) Attempts to build or compile code in IBM Rational Rhapsody using Miscrosoft Visual Studio 2008 results in the error "NMAKE:fatal error U1077:'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe':return code '0x10'" Cause Unknown Environment Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 IBM Rational Rhapsody v 7.5.3.1 Operating System = Windows XP - 32 bit Diagnosing the problem Check the following items in your environment: Check if Rhapsody installation is installed in a directory with spaces. Open Active component > Configuration > DefaultConfig > Features and check if the environment is set to "MSVC9". Open "msvc9make.bat" in a text editor and check if the Call path contains the path to the "VcVars32.bat" file. For example: ---------------- call "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\bin\VcVars32.bat" ---------------- Check if you are able to compile the code by launching Visual studio 2008 externally.
