Probably tripped the code on a cold day with hard starting problems and low voltage. Jeff jsrmonster View Public Profile Send a private message to jsrmonster Visit jsrmonster's homepage! Register or Log In now! Well since I got my car I've had problems from time to time with it starting. It will always start, but at times it will take 2-3 times. Twice I had the hazzards come on blinking, but I just restarted the car and fixed the issue. So the only thing I'm getting is 17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer P15070 - 008 - Implauisble Singal - Intermittent I have two sets of keys it does this to me, and I just want to get this fixed. I only have an ECS tunning USB cable that I run VAG-COM on that I can check codes with. So if I need a full one I will have to have a local come over. I just want some simple step by step on what to do. I was reading on Ross-Tech about matching

Is there any way to test if it is the key or something deeper? ///BrooklynAutoRennen 2014 VW GLI Autobahn/Nav/DSG - Two clutches. Two pedals. Four doors. No apologies. They said I needed a new throttle body. I got a used one, put it in, did the adaptation and wow.. car runs the best it has in over a year. Had it running outside the shop and it stalled and wouldn't start up again. Did the Vag-Com and a new fault came up.. 17978. Car wouldn't start anymore. It runs for 2 seconds at very low idle and dies. I did the unhook battery thing, touch leads together thing. It won't start. Now it has a very recent history of doing this while hot. So I wait for the morning and it might start again. Anyways.. here is the Vag-Com readout when it won't start. The code isn't there when car is cold and running fine. Please help!
