I can not load an Norton Ghost image file from one partition to another partition on the same hard drive using command line switches. The image file is on D: & I want to load it onto C: - The 2 partitions are on the same hard drive. The command line I use is: ghost.exe -clone,mode=load,src=d:\image.gho,dst=c: I get the message: "User Error 11030" - "Invalid http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/gss-25-error-11030-invalid-source-drive Drive Destination" I have tried other command lines like: ghost.exe -clone,mode=load,src=d:\image.gho,dst=c: ghost.exe -clone,mode=load,src=d:\image.gho,dst=1:1 Please can anyone there help me?!? Best wishes. TimCutler, Apr 13, 2002 #1 Sponsor Rockn Joined: Jul 29, 2001 Messages: 21,335 Try pload instead of load in the MODE portion. "load" is from file-to-disk and "pload" is for file-to-partition Rockn, Apr 13, 2002 #2 TimCutler Thread Starter Joined: Mar 3, 2000 Messages: 219 Many thanks... keep up the good work! Best wishes. Posted: 23-May-2013 | 12:38AM • Permalink ghost error 11030 If I remember correctly, destination is always Drive number : Partition number seperated with a colon : For instance: dst=2:1 would make the destination the second hard drive, first partition. dest=1:1 would be first hard drive first partition. When restoring a "whole disk" image rather than a partition you only need the drive number dest=1 would restore the whole disk image onto the first hard drive regardless of how many partitions are in that image. Just note that Ghost uses 1 for the first hard drive and that is technically wrong, windows uses HD0 as the first hard drive and Ghost uses 1. I think I have some bookmarks for the switches but it's on my system at work and I will not be there until tomarrow. Use the GUI, not the command line. meigyoku Visitor2 Reg: 22-May-2013 Posts: 7 Solutions: 1 Kudos: 0 Kudos0 Re: Norton Ghost 11.5 parameter?
