I am having the issue with more users, and it is definitely tied to the Novell Client, as it goes away if you uninstall the Novell Client (which is not really a solution). Yes, I have tried the latest 4.91 sp3 client and it makes no difference. Do I need to open an incident ? I cannot believe no one else is having this problem, as we have seen it in over a dozen cases so far. *********************** Original Posting****************************** Updated my GroupWise 6.5.6 system to 7.0.1 ir1 over the holidays. My client update worked fine on my workstation and laptop. Now that everyone is back after the break I have over half a dozen clients which will not load the updated client at all, or will load it only after an error message regarding "missing ccsw32.dll". I have trie
error popped up when trying to run the GW 7.1 client: "ccw32.dll cannot be found" According to TID 1009508, the NMAS client is the culprit. I verified the TID was correct in renaming the c:\windows\system32\nwsso.dll fixes the problem. I then created a simple NAL app that deletes the nwsso.dll file, then made the GW7.1 client installer dependent on it. By the way, the nwsso.dll is a part of Single Sign On (SSO), a component of the Novell Client software. Here's my NAL app, based upon TID 3240416: Create a simple Zenworks NAL app, https://forums.novell.com/showthread.php/146160-Missing-ccsw32-dll-error-with-GW7-0-1-ir1-client-when-NW-Client-is-installed then view the app's properties On the Distribution Options tab, select Application Files. Click the Add button and select File. Check the Target File to be Deleted box. In the target box, type %systemroot%\system32\nwsso.dll On the app's Association tab, select the workstation(s) objects or workstation OU you'd like this application to run on. On the Associations tab, check the force run box next to http://thebackroomtech.com/2007/08/22/groupwise-71-error-ccsw32dll-not-found/ the objects you associated the app with in step 5. Reboot the workstation, and you should find the nwsso.dll missing. This thread discusses the impact of disabling SSO on the Groupwise post office. program . Starting with Groupwise 7 you'll need to deploy the client via Zenworks using .msi files. First, copy the client directory to a network share where users have http://thebackroomtech.com/2007/06/20/howto-deploy-the-groupwise-client-7-using-zenworks/ at least read and file scan rights. Next use the Groupwise Tuner utility (found in the \admin\utility\gwtuner directory) to customize the installation for your environment. This utility will create a groupwise.mst file in network \client\win32 directory. Once your .mst file has been created, from ConsoleOne create a new application object for a application that has an .MSI file Enter the path to the groupwise.msi groupwise error file on the network. I personally always use UNC mappings Give the new object a meaningful name Add any availability rules Create user/computer associations Once the object is created, right click your new Application object, and select properties. Navigate to the msi - transforms tab, select add, and enter the path to the .mst file created by the Groupwise Tuner utility. If Groupwise will groupwise error ccsw32 be used by more than one user per machine, include the ALLUSERS=1 value on the msi - properties tab. You should now be able to deploy the Groupwise 7 client using Zenworks. For more information on the deployment process, see TID3492700. Note that this document says that you must deploy isscript1050.msi with the client installation, but that was not the case for me with the 7.0.2 hot patch 1a client installation.
