IMGBurn I/O Error imgburn failed to write sectors - Invalid Address for Write Hi, I've been reading these boards for awhile now, but I'm a newbie to posting so I appreciate any help you can give me. I suddenly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxDO6jKacSc started having problems burning (I/O Error) a couple of weeks ago with the DVD Shrink Nero combo. I then switched to DVD Decrypter and got a new I/O Error, so finally I tried DVD Shrink with IMGBurn. I get an I/O Error with these other lines (I didn't put down the lines in between Interpretations): I/O Error! Interpretation: Check Condition

(well, not 99.99999% of the time anyway) An I/O Error is a way of displaying a problem your imgburn i/o error drive had with the disc or your system config (mainly a disc problem though). Unrecovered read errors, Seek errors, Servo errors, Focusing errors, ECC errors, CIRC Unrecovered errors etc. are all your drives way of saying "I don't like this disc". Clean the disc, update your drives firmware (http://www.rpc1.org), try it in another drive, and get another copy.Click to expand... jim_dandy, Jun 22, 2005 #2 ScubaPete Senior member Joined: Mar 13, 2003 Messages: 6,324 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 116 Hi akira007, welcome to aD, A little information on an I/O error: An I/O error deals with a disc 99% of the time and the other 1% of the time it is from the drive itself. An I/O error is usually received when attempting to burn to a crappy piece of media. Using a decent quality media will eliminate this error. An I/O error can also be seen when trying to rip a damaged or faulty OR a downright dirty or scratched DVD disc. Clean the disc, attempt to recover the disc using CDCheck. http://www.elpros.si/CDCheck/ Finally, if indeed it comes from your drive, sometimes just a laser lens cleaning with either canned air OR a Laser cleaning disc will solve the problem. All that said and done, you may have to check the burner / DVD ROM in another machine to s

I saved an Image from a Dual Layer Disc to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0. After attempting to Burn to a verbatim Dual Layer Disc at 2.4X I get "Invalid address for write." Note that before the burn I changed from PIO to DMA mode. I don't think this caused this issue since it should be in DMA mode anyway (from what I've read on other forums). I posted the error message as well as the log below. Any help would be appreciated...
