(Paul_A_Clark) Sep 24, 2008 11:25 AM I'm working on a postcard design for print purposes with several embedded images and text elements. I've saved successfully file i/o error final cut pro 7 several times early on, but suddenly, every time I attempt to save, I get the message "A File I/O Error Has Occurred". I need to get this to the printer, but can't make important changes now. HELP! Thanks, paul 50188Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 9 replies 1. Re: Please Help!! (Paul_A_Clark) Sep 24, 2008 11:39 AM (in response to (Paul_A_Clark)) Crazy! Wasn't saving to a server, but to a 2-gig jump drive. When I saved it to my mac's hard drive, no problem. Is there a short answer to why that happens? I didn't appear to be out of space on the external drive... Thanks Scott! paul Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. Re: Please Help!! Could be a server without proper permissions, a jump drive formatted as NTFS, a Diskette that's full or locked, etc. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 5.

A file I/O error has occurred" (Adobe Pro 8.0). I received this error when I was trying to saved a PDF file over 2GB. I identified the issue to be "Allow fast web view". This option does not allow the output file to be very big! Solution: From Tool bar select 'edit' --> References --> from Categories select "Internet"--> and deselect "allow fast web view" Good luck, and I hope this should be the solution for others as well! https://s.yimg.com/hd/answers/i/fc90c42cc3454d5f936d0db38f183d8a_A.jpeg?

It looks like this error happens when the file size exceeds 1GB. Will see if I can confirm that elsewhere. EDIT: Actually, read this and see if it applies.
