Recently we started having users report that they are getting an I/O error referencing the userpref.dat file. I have followed the recommended fixes, including renaming the file and having the program recreate a new one. That does not seem to be fixing it as the error comes back within a few days.I have contacted Sage Support without any resolve to this issue. Our cuurent environment is a 2003 Terminal Server (this is where users login to use the software), the actual Peachtree Database is located on a Server 2008R2 box that is shared out for the Terminal Services users.I have checked event logs and there seems to be no issues with the system. Now, the only issues that I see that might cause an issue is that the database is 1.7GB in size. I was told by Sage Supportthat the database might be too big, but that they have seen databases this big before that run fine. My next option will be to run a purge on the DB and then, once it is shrunk a bit, a data verification.Other than that, I am a complete loss as to what I need to do. Any information that anyone might have would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks! Error reading or writing to file." Our accounting data appears to be correct. https://sagecity.na.sage.com/support_communities/sage50_accounting_us/f/132/t/67387 I've run the Data Verification and Integrity checks with nothing found. I'm using version Complete 2006. It holds your preference settings for Peachtree Today and does not affect your accounting. __________________ Rick Prindiville PCO Consulting Services, Inc. rick@pcosupport.com Peachtree Certified Consultant Sage Certified Trainer rick Prindivill View Public Profile Find all posts by rick Prindivill #3 04-30-2007, 10:35 AM Cplumley Registered User Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Richmond, VA Posts: 45 Thank you for the quick response! I did as you suggested. We are no longer getting the error code, but now the Peachtree Today screen freezes the whole program if any changes are attempted on it. __________________ cp Cplumley View Public Profile Find all posts by Cplumley #4 04-30-2007, 11:19 AM rick Prindivill Registered User Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Miami/Ft.
