point the cause of this. It's not easily reproducible, just happens from time to time. Anyone knows anything about this? We are running aix 5.3. database seems to work ok (we can stop, start, query, rman ora-27072: file i/o error populate it) but when we try to alter a tablespace we get the following scary ora-27072: file i/o error linux-x86_64 error: 9: bad file descriptor error message. Disk space is ok. Server has been rebooted without problem.
