Randy Goff replied Apr 19, 2005 You don't have a boot device set. From the console restart the server. When you see RS6000 mutliple columns and rows it will skip a line and you will see system component names. Wait for keyboard and hit 1 or F1 if it is a graphics terminal. You will be dumped out to a utilities menu. Here you can set your boot list and restart the server Randy Top Best Answer 0 Mark

Edward1982 (TechnicalUser) (OP) 1 Dec 08 14:00 I'm getting an error !20EE000B! Code when I try to boot the second LPAR on our test Power4 system. (I'm trying to get familiar with LPARing) The server is a 7028-6C4 with 2 processors, 4 gig of memory, 2 NICs and 2 hard drives (each hard drive has 5.2 ML10 installed). The firmware is up to date. It is connected to an HMC. I have created two profiles called LPAR1 and LPAR2. Each profile has 1 gig of ram and one processor assigned to it. LPAR1 has within the IO draw, Group_128 added to its profile, which contains the ISA Bridge, NIC and SCSI Bus Controller. LPAR2 has a NIC and SCSI Bus Controller, but no ISA Bridge. From the HMC, I can boot LPAR1 with no problems. When I go to boot up LPAR2, I get the !20EE000B! error. LPAR2 will only see the available NICs while in SMS mode. For some reason it wont see the other available hard drive. LPAR1 shows the second drive as defined, but not available. Also, shouldn't I see two Groups, like Group_128 and Group_129? Since I'm splitting the resources? Any ideas? RE: LPAR question. khalidaaa (TechnicalUser) 1 Dec 08 14:33 I don't work with P4 machines but i think this code 20EE000B idicates that the LPAR can't find a boot image to boot from! so definately the problem is with the harddisk
