many PCs and export specific information from theresults → IBM uEFI Flash Update for IBM x3650 M2 running Windows2008 04 Apr In trying to fix a hardware issue on an IBM x3650 M2 (server repeatedly had a blue screen “Hardware Error - 600”), I downloaded the latest firmware available for the server from IBM website. IBM provides a complete Readme file with all information on the firmware fixes and the installation process. https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/forums/html/topic?id=b8d44c6c-a509-496a-874f-7377664fe62d So typing at the command line with administrative privilege in your Windows 2008 server session: ibm_fw_uefi_d6e150c-_windows_32-64.exe (assuming you are already in the right path where you downloaded the firmware) gives you the following GUI: You are required to enter a username/password which is actually: USERID/PASSW0RD (note that it is “zero” not the https://sadissa.wordpress.com/2011/04/04/ibm-uefi-flash-update-for-ibm-x3650-m2-running-windows-2008/ letter “O”) and to start the firmware install. The wizard then shows you the installation progress as follows: IBM Command Line IMM Flash Update Utility v1.11.03 Licensed Materials - Property of IBM (C) Copyright IBM Corp. 2009,2010 All Rights Reserved. Refreshing LAN-over-USB IP address. This may take several minutes. IMM LAN-over-USB device driver enabled successfully. Warning: LAN-over-USB IP address is not working on default IP address. Update package firmware type: uEFI Update package build level: D6E150C (this is the firmware version I downloaded from IBM website) Target's current build level: D6E128A (this was the firmware version running on my server) The IMM is preparing to receive the update.
