Your new Welcome page works correctly with Notes clients 5.0.2a, 5.0.2b, and 5.0.2c. However, if you load a Notes 5.0.3 Client which opens this Welcome page, the following error message occurs: "The V5 client requires an up to date bookmark template, bookmark.ntf. Please obtain a copy and restart Notes." This error can also occur in a Notes 6.x environment with the following error: "The 6.x client requires an up to date bookmark template, BOOKMARK.NTF. Please obtain a copy and restart Notes." Answer This is the expected behavior. The Notes 5.0.3 Client requires design elements which were added to the 5.0.3 Bookmark.ntf file. In order to use a customized Welcome page with the 5.0.3 Notes client, you must base the design on the Bookmark.ntf file that ships with Domino 5.0.3 Server. If the necessary Bookmark.ntf cannot be located, then the workaround is to rename the bookmark.nsf and force a new one to be created, which will be based on the currently available bookmark.ntf. Note: This issue can occur in different release scenarios where additional design elements have been added to the design of the Bookmark.ntf.
