documents using drag and drop, if you then select documents in that view, the status bar reflects a greater number of documents than are actually selected. For example, you drag and drop 5 documents, and then select 2, the status bar will reflect "7 documents selected". Cause This occurs in cases where the view did not refresh as expected after completing the prior archive using drag and drop. Answer This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering in SPR# CHR6KPSAX; and the Notes client was modified in release 7.0.3 to avoid this issue. Workarounds You can use Shift-F9 to rebuild the view after dragging documents to archive. To revise the mail database or mail template so that this issue is avoided in Notes 7.0 through 7.0.2 and 8.0.x releases, follow the instructions found in the document titled "Document is deleted from both the mail file and archive database when attempting to archive it twice via drag and drop"(1199026). Had a user trying to archive by clicking on the "Archive Now" option and instead of successfully completing it would throw the little pop up box titled "Archive" that says Document has been deleted. http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/DateAllThreadedWeb/d6e4eff13a36e6a0852579f70054f5e3 By the time I saw this, there were a number of things done, views rebuilt (Control-Shift-F9), cache cleared, even deleted the archive profile, all the basic trouble shooting. The view issue seemed like a no brainer because I've seen the same basic error when people archive selected, but rebuilding all the views didn't help. Turns out it was related to the Soft Deletions field. The $Softdeletes - simple fix was to open the DB, toggle off soft deletes and then toggle it back on. The only risk is losing your trash (well, it's not a risk, you LOSE your trash, but since you trashed the stuff, one would expect you didn't want it anyway....) After clearing that out the archive worked fine. The problem existed on 8.5.1 and was still there after we updated the client to 8.5.3. Solved Problems archiving on Lotus Notes - error entry not found in index Posted on 2006-07-19 Lotus IBM lotus notes 2 Verified Solutions 24 Comments 13,778 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-18 Hi, We use Lotus Domino ver. 6.5 for our email system. Our users archive their email to a network share that is not on the Domino server. Recently some users when they click on Tools and Archive Settings, they get the error "Server Error: Entry not found in index". If they try to use any of document has been the archive options unders "Action", such as "Archive Now", they are asked if want to go ahead but then they get the same error. Thery cannot open the Archive log either. I can open their archivee from the network driver where they are stored so the archive file is still OK but you can't archive any other mail. Some users can access it exactly the same way as before. I did try updall on one of the affected files, I had to run it from the server tasks as I can't get the server console to run. Is there anything you can suggest please? Many thanks 0 Question by:JB123456 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 18 Best Solution bymarilyng Can you be more specific? which profile did you delete?
