plug-in gets activated (part opens up), user starts to receive a "cannot create window(insufficient memory)" error dialog. The sideshelf part is supposed to update itself when a message is selected from

the inbox view. The form is doing some Timer (through Lotus script) code and that seems to be throwing the error. The error is only for this component's access or update, whereas you can still access other parts of the client, open/close mails, etc. This was seen even when System had no other processes holding on to a lot of memory or lotus notes error messages GDI handles. But the NSD stack while dialog was up always showed the same execution. Local fix Close the sideshelf of custom component and make sure that on subsequent launch, it doesn't become active by default. Manually activating it was seen to work. Problem summary This APAR is closed as FIN. We have deferred the fix to a future release. When I launch Notes I can open the first document of any database (email, customer db's) but then I close and try http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1LO60877 to reopen or open a new document it won't open and just gives a double beep. No error message. Only way to then open anything is to restart notes. I've rebooted as well. same effect. I can open the first thing I select but thereafter nothing will open and I just get the two beeps. It sounds like the same beeping sound when you try to select something when there is a child dialog box open that you http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/DateAllFlatWeb/05744878aa95775385257bb200419304?OpenDocument have to dismiss first. So I'm suspicious that there is a dialog box it thinks is open but which I cant see. I have 16GB of RAM and plenty of resources after a fresh reboot so if it is a buffer pool/memory problem perhaps its a GDI memory issue (I used to have those out of GDI memory issues alot with XP and Vista, but never with Windows 7).
